US Blockade Disrupts Iran Trade at Chabahar Port

A US blockade has disrupted Iran’s trade, causing major congestion at the Chabahar port. According to reports, more than 20 ships are now stranded, highlighting growing pressure on Iran’s maritime and economic activities due to ongoing restrictions.
The US Central Command, known as United States Central Command, stated that the blockade has significantly reduced Iran’s port operations. Moreover, officials noted that the situation has created serious delays in shipping and trade movement.
Before the blockade, the Chabahar port used to receive an average of five ships daily. However, officials reported that now over 20 vessels remain stuck at the port, unable to move due to restricted maritime access.

US officials further claimed that military and economic measures have limited Iran’s commercial activity. In addition, they said that these steps are aimed at increasing economic pressure on Iran while affecting its sea-based trade routes.
